1) Message Policy
⏳ 30-Second Ephemeral Messaging
SomeChat values the preciousness of the shared moment. Once the recipient reads your message, a 30-second countdown begins. At zero, the message disappears completely — erased from both the device and the server.
- Countdown starts on read: the instant the other person opens the message.
- Perfect erasure: deleted from device and server at 00:00.
2) Privacy Policy
👤 Zero Personal Data Declaration
No sign-up. No tracking. No footprints. A temporary nickname is your only identifier. SomeChat does not store personal information and does not attempt to identify you.
- No login required: start instantly with a temporary nickname.
- No data collection: no tracking, no identity profiling.
- Shield for courage: for whistleblowing, reporting danger, and private communication.
3) Safety & Room Policy
🛡️ Secure Room Policy
The room destroys itself to protect you. Exiting incinerates the history immediately. If a participant does not enter within 5 minutes, or if the conversation stops for 3 minutes, the room self-purges. A 24-hour TTL design also clears residual traces automatically.
- Exit = instant burn: re-entry creates a fresh slate.
- Idle entry: auto-destroy if no participant enters within 5 minutes.
- Paused chat: auto-destroy if conversation stops for 3 minutes.
- TTL safety: automated cleanup of log traces.

4) Global Access
🌍 Accessible Anywhere
SomeChat supports 8 languages (including Korean, English, and Japanese), enabling communication across borders. No app store is required — use it on the web or as a PWA. iPhone users can add it to the home screen for a native app-like experience.
- 8 languages: communicate globally without barriers.
- Web & PWA: install-like experience without App Store.
- iPhone tip: “Add to Home Screen” for a smooth launch.
5) Five-Layer Deletion Architecture
🔐 5-Tier Data Elimination Policy
SomeChat operates under a multi-layered deletion architecture designed to minimize data retention and reduce digital trace exposure. The system enforces five independent deletion mechanisms to ensure room and message data do not persist beyond their intended lifecycle.
- 30-Second Message Deletion: Once a recipient reads a message, a 30-second countdown begins. At expiration, the message is permanently removed from active application storage.
- 3-Minute Inactivity Room Destruction: If no conversation occurs for three consecutive minutes, the chat room state and associated metadata are automatically destroyed.
- 5-Minute Link & Nickname Expiration: If the room creator does not complete initial confirmation within five minutes, the invitation link and nickname association are invalidated.
- 24-Hour TTL Cleanup: All room artifacts are subject to a maximum 24-hour time-to-live threshold. Any residual data is purged automatically by scheduled cleanup processes.
- Randomized TTL Safety Cleanup: Independent probabilistic cleanup triggers operate to remove residual artifacts in the event of incomplete deletion cycles.
Deletion applies to active application-level storage systems controlled by SomeChat. External systems such as browser caches, device screenshots, ISP logs, hosting provider infrastructure logs, or legally mandated data retention mechanisms are outside the technical control of the service.
Final Note
“Ephemeral messages reveal the face of the heart.”
Your words, your moment — no data left behind.
